John & Victoria Mata

John & Victoria Mata

We are John and Victoria Mata, and this summer, we’re celebrating 30 years of marriage—a journey that began in Georgia and has taken us to the mountains of Colorado and back to the East Coast in North Carolina. Along the way, we’ve been blessed with three children, two sons-in-law, and two wonderful grandsons.

Combining professional expertise in business, school leadership, and music education, service is at the heart of everything we do. We have been deeply committed to investing our time and talents, working in local schools, nurturing students of all ages.

From leadership to behind-the-scenes support, we have also served in a wide variety of roles within the local church. While we have valued these ministries, our hearts have long been pulled toward global service. After years of participating on short-term global teams and praying for clarity, we are finally transitioning into full-time global work.

Join us on a transformative journey to Bethlehem as we step out to serve at the Jerusalem School! We warmly invite you to partner with us in this mission by following our updates, lifting us up in prayer, and giving financially to support our work with these incredible students. Your prayers provide our strength, your generosity fuels our daily operations, and your shared heart connects us as one body across the globe. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of young people in this historic region—thank you for going with us every step of the way!

Victoria’s Journey
As a young girl, I had a deep desire to know God and live a life grounded in faith. My parents, after experiencing a spiritual awakening of their own, chose to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and led our family by example. I am the youngest of six children, and I watched
